What's there to speculate? Fire starter is the best. Game over.

I don't speculate for stuff everyone knows 1% of.

Also oh jeez all the starters are great for once.

I actually have 0 preference to any of those starters for a change, at least at first glance :/

Maybe if it turns out one of them has cool typing when it evolves it'll stand out for me.
Did you not think I had a mind?

Why is the Fire-type a cute fennec fox type thing and not something awesome.
The moon is so red. Looks like it's going to be a fun night.

Cute Fennecs are awesome. And no. I don't mean for furries or anything relating to them.

That fire type sure looks unlikely to evolve into a Fire/Fighting type, but neither do Torchic or Tepig. But regardless, these starters seem alright. I just hope that whatever starter I pick doesn't end up like Snivy did and get pretty cool looking yet only one possible decent move to use.

Also :| at all the people complaining about things like "wah why isn't this a DS game", "wah why isn't this a RSE remake", "wah why isn't this FR/LG remake"

Honestly I'm somewhat surprised they eked out BW2 on DS considering the DS was effectively dead (Although I wouldn't know how they'd make it on the 3DS).  Also pfthaha FRLG remake.

The point of re-releasing the 1st/2nd gens into the newer generations was to actually port the games into the new mechanics engine, so the legendaries and etc could be transferred over. Presently, we don't need RSE remake because the GBA and the games still exist, and can be transferred into the newer games.

Of course, you're assuming people still keep a fat/lite DS around.  Especially with the 3DS around.  Sure, some people will, but not everyone.

It's more probable now with a 3DS-centric game that doesn't have direct access to GBA playability.  With that said, I'm just stating the facts.

It's been a while since I've seen the starter Pokemon of a generation and went, "...Yep, I'm okay with this!"

Hopefully the rest of the game turns out just as well.
Never forget who you are.

Because... all the starters. And National Dex completion. I'm going to do it. ._.

Why would you buy a 2nd copy of the game and a 2nd 3DS when you can just trade breed your starter and trade it for the other starters on the global link?

With B/W/B2/W2, since I had a DS and 3DS (and since there are two other DSes in my household owned by my siblings), I could practically get everything Gen V myself.

But I am the only one with a 3DS, and I'll probably get both X and Y.
